Second Prize in Composition Competition – International Recognition as a Composer

My composition Ave Verum for mixed choir, string quartet and piano won second prize in the prestigious International Composition Competition Ave Verum in Baden, near Vienna. Composers from all over the world submitted their works to this international competition, which makes this recognition even more special.

The competition called for a new composition based on the text of Mozart’s Ave Verum, using the same instrumentation as Mozart originally used. That my work placed so highly in such a strong international field feels like a wonderful affirmation of my work as a composer.
