Concert Missa & More
On February 10, 2024 we gave a beautiful concert in a full church (Goede Herderkerk) in Hoogeveen. More than 350 people in the audience. A concert with exclusively works composed by me in the past 10 years. The pieces were conducted by Frank Kaman.
The premiere of the Missa Brevis for choir and instrumental ensemble.
Performers:
- Project choir with experienced singers from northern and eastern Netherlands.
- String quartet Amarens
- Brass quintet with members and ex-members of The Amsterdam Staffband
- Nadia Huisjes – flute

The program opened festively with a Trumpet Tune from the Baroque Suite with Frank Kaman organ and Bert Nijhuis and Menno v/d Woude on cornet. Followed by the Lord’s Prayer sung by the project choir with Frank Kaman organ.
Highlights of the evening were the Magnificat, Land of my Father with Simon Smedinga on euphonium, Lamento for cello and piano with Esther de Boer on cello, The Irish Blessing, Twins for euphonium duet, piano work Song for Peace and of course the Missa Brevis for project choir and instrumental ensemble.
